REGISTERED NURSES (COMMUNITY NURSE)
Purpose of the Position
To provide a high level of nursing care that is responsive to the clients’ needs and which is supported by nursing knowledge.
Expected Outcomes
To provide a service that improves, maintains and restores people’s health in accordance with all providers’ terms and conditions.
To provide nursing cares such that if not provided the client would require hospital or in-patient care.
To ensure culturally competent service in accordance with the clients ethnic community and providing for their different needs and priorities.
A high level of professionalism is maintained at all times.
Required Skills and Competencies
Current Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council.
Current New Zealand Drivers Licence.
Demonstrated skills in clinical nursing practice with an understanding of contemporary nursing theories.
Broad experience in general nursing, preferably some experience in Community Nursing.
Ability to liaise with clients, doctors, practice nurses and other health professionals.
Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communications skills.
Recognise expectations and limitations of own nursing practice
